The Genius Book
Yes, You Are a Genius
Whether You Know it Or Not
Claiming the Extraordinary Life You Were Born to Live
Susanna Lange & Otto Siegel
Foreword
Finally—a book that describes how I feel . . . and I’ll bet it describes
exactly how you feel, too. But don’t take my word for it, let your natural
genius explore.
Most people misinterpret what it means to be a genius. They attribute it to
incomprehensible intellectual prowess or a complex understanding of even more
complex principles.
But it isn’t . . . except in the case of those people whose genius is
demonstrated in that fashion. Their genius is uniquely theirs, and yours is
uniquely yours. Chances are that you’ve never allowed yourself to consider the
fact that you might be a genius already.
But you are.
I’ve never felt more understood or at home with myself than I did when I read
Yes, You Are a Genius, and I never felt more complete or armed with tools to
harness my true genius than when I finished it.
In our over-communicated world, our genius is often blocked or we turn our
thinking over to the television, the internet or the advertisers, and we stop
responding to our own genius. We forget who we are, who we want to be and who we
can be. And when we do, we feel (at first) vaguely unfulfilled; but over time we
become painfully aware that we are not achieving our true potential, and then
frustration sets in.
Yes, You Are a Genius shows you how to get your life (genius) back and how to
express your genius. It helps you break through old blocks that have kept you
from reconnecting with your genius.
I love the quote that Otto and Susanna chose from Buckminster Fuller: “All
children are born geniuses; 9,999 out of 10,000 are swiftly, inadvertently
de-genius-ized by grown ups.” Nearly all of us are victims of that one single
reality.
Admit it: you are too. I know for many years I was.
But, as Otto and Susanna clearly point out, your genius didn’t go away. Your
skill and willingness to connect with it was diminished, but in just a few pages
of the book you’ll reconnect . . . powerfully.
There is power in this book. And genius. It unlocks your brain quickly and it
gives you permission to express yourself.
And once you unlock your genius, look out! The ideas, solutions, creations
and energy are almost overwhelming.
And it doesn’t matter how well or how poorly you did in school.
You are still a genius with ideas and solutions waiting to be tapped.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t think you are creative or smart . . . your
genius gene discovers what it needs to achieve.
If you’ve ever felt like something is missing, that there must be more, you
need to turn off the TV, tune out the distractions around you and devour this
book. Your starving genius will be satiated and you’ll step onto the path to
your true calling.
If you were one of the 9,999 de-genius-ized people Buckminster Fuller talked
about, this is your opportunity to shake off the shackles of self-imposed
beliefs, societal expectations, and behavior patterns and explore your natural
genius.
Don’t settle for less than you were designed to achieve. Your genius is your
promise and your future. Give everyone in the world what they’ve got coming and
what you owe them . . . the very best of you.
I’m enlivened by my exploration, and Yes, You Are a Genius reconnected me
with my path.
Will you join me?
I look forward to our journey.
